Kessler International, the leading forensic accounting, computer forensic and auditing firm, has opened two new offices recently, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Atlanta, Georgia. The new locations, in Lancaster at 2173 Embassy Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603, and in Atlanta at 260 Peachtree Street NW, Suite 2200, Atlanta, GA 30303, further expand Kessler’s nationwide presence. With these new offices, Kessler International has expanded its premier investigative and forensic accounting services all along the Eastern seaboard, continuing to better serve as well as to continue to attract the nation’s most discriminating corporate, government and individual clients.

We are experiencing a great demand for our services in the Middle Atlantic and Southern states.” Kessler continues: “These new offices additionally demonstrate that Kessler International knows the importance of building and maintaining solid business relationships and underscores our commitment to supporting these regions. The Company’s expansion into Pennsylvania and Georgia are highlights of a banner year wherein Kessler International’s highly-skilled staff and personalized service “raised the bar” even higher in ‘Setting the Standard for Investigative Excellence.’"
Some of the services offered by Kessler International's new offices include forensic accounting, internal corporate investigations, anti-counterfeiting and anti-diversion programs, computer forensics, cyber crime detection and evaluation, business intelligence and criminal and civil investigations. Additional areas of expertise include brand protection and asset tracing.
From Kessler’s long roster of “Success Stories” in 2006, we present highlights from several “standout” cases:
$250-Million School District Expansion Project
Kessler conducted a forensic audit of the construction of three schools operated by a school district in Georgia. Our audit revealed fraud and mismanagement of public funds. During the pre-litigation process, Kessler’s findings were submitted to the construction managers, who to date, have settled with the school district for an amount in excess of $6-million.
Community College Audit
A forensic audit has uncovered evidence of the sale of grades, misappropriation
of funds and mismanagement of millions of taxpayer dollars. Kessler
recommended that further investigation is warranted by law enforcement to
determine culpability. Additionally, Kessler recommended the establishment
of stronger internal controls outside monitoring of school funds.
Brand Protection/Trademark Investigation
A nationwide investigation was tasked to determine the extent to which
specific products were being sold outside commercially-mandated territories.
The product in question had been packaged similar to and bore a trademark
almost identical to one trademarked by a “household name” major worldwide
manufacturer. Further investigation revealed that the product was being sold
on numerous websites and shipped throughout the United States.
$142-Million Utilities Expansion Audit
A forensic audit of the books and records of a utilities expansion project,
disclosed indications of possible bid-rigging and other mismanagement.
The matter has been referred to the United States Department of Justice and
the Federal Bureau of Investigation for further investigation and possible
criminal prosecution.
$1-Million in Church Funds Embezzled
Another forensic audit of the books and records of a church, revealed the absence
of over $1-million in church funds. A high-ranking pastor has been convicted on
criminal charges.
Fraud in the Delta
Kessler International conducted a forensic audit regarding a claim submitted by a
Louisiana business owner. The owner alleged structural damage to and/or
destruction of several properties and their contents. Kessler's forensic experts
determined the claimant had filed numerous claims on several properties in the
area. Kessler expanded its audit to include these additional property claims
and found several anomalies. Closer examination of the claim documents
revealed that the level of flooding increased the further the locations were
situated from the water. Based on its findings, Kessler recommended most of
the claims be reduced and others completely denied.
