FORENSIC
ACCOUNTING FIRM KESSLER INTERNATIONAL UPS ISLAND PRESENCE
Kessler International is moving from a 2,800-square-foot Rocky Point office to a 4,000-square-foot office in Central Islip and increasing its staff.
The forensic accounting firm, which employs 15 staffers on Long Island, plans to hire another five after it moves to the Courthouse Corporate Center, near the federal and state courthouses.
"We do a lot of work with the attorneys at federal and state courts," CEO Michael Kessler said. "It's (near the courthouses) a good place to be."
The firm's business is growing, Kessler added, as companies more diligently examine their expenses.
"There's a downturn in the economy," Kessler continued. "Companies are monitoring their bottom line more closely."
The firm, he said, now also does more business valuations, as part of bankruptcy proceedings and divorces.
"More of our clients are asking us not only to do the forensic audit," he said, "but the business valuation."
Kessler is one of the first tenants in the Courthouse Corporate Center, and the first accounting firm to move in.
